Terms of business
The small print, in plain English.
Draft Have these read over before you rely on them. Still to decide: a cancellation policy for builds that stop part-way, and your trading address.
Quotes and what's included
Every project starts with a fixed quote. Front Door (£699) covers a website of up to 5 pages; Front Door + Back Office (£899) adds the guest pack and owner area. Anything outside the quote is agreed and priced before I do it.
Each build includes two rounds of changes once you've seen the site. Further rounds are charged at £35 an hour, in 15-minute steps.
You supply photos and any facts I need by the date we agree. If they arrive late, the launch date moves with them.
Paying
Builds: 50% to start, 50% when your site goes live, by invoice. Invoices are due within 14 days.
Care plans are paid monthly in advance, or yearly in advance with two months free.
Care plans
There's no minimum term. You can cancel at any time; your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
Small changes included in Looked After and above means updates such as prices, photos, opening times, notices and events. New pages or features get a fixed quote first. I don't promise a turnaround time, but small changes are usually done within a few working days.
Ticking Over covers hosting, domains, security and backups; changes on that plan are charged at £35 an hour.
Who owns what
Once paid for, your website, its content and your domain are yours. If you leave a care plan, I'll help you move them.
I keep the right to reuse my own general code, tools and templates on other projects. Your content, photos, branding and data are never reused.
Your data and your customers' data
Where I host something that stores your customers' details (such as an owner area), you're the data controller and I process that data on your behalf, only to run the service. I'll keep it secure and delete it when you ask or when we stop working together.
Things outside my control
I'll do my best to keep your site running and fast, but I can't be responsible for outages at hosting providers, third-party services (such as payment or booking providers) or losses that follow from them.
I don't guarantee results such as a number of bookings or calls, but I'll show you what's changed and keep improving what doesn't work.
